Aftab is a businessman who has always been body conscious. An entrepreneur’s brain in a professional sportsman’s physique. Aftab trains hard and in 2013 became a professional MMA athlete and has over 100 bouts in all levels and different disciplines. In 2015 he turned pro in Muay Thai and is currently training and competing. Aftab has found all of his training enhanced by the practice of Dynamic Hot Yoga with all that it brings; including improvement in nerve flow and faster reflexes. He feels quicker and yet relaxed with his breathing posture. As a sportsman he also understands the issue of injuries, how useful DHY is to recovery and has a strong desire to see as many other people as possible enjoy this benefit. He believes that the DHY System can help people recover and live a normal life. And not just injured people, everyone can improve their lives through the balancing of mind and body with conscious breathing. As a successful businessman Aftab is investing and building DHY into a fantastic centre for the benefit of all its members.
Afsor has played semi-pro football as well as enjoying a wide range of other sport activities including gym training, MMA, and boxing. He continues to work out regularly at the gym but has found since he discovered Dynamic Hot Yoga that all of his training has benefited as it has done wonders for his cardio and core strength and mentally improved his focus. This mental calm has also benefited his career in business management at which he has long experience in the financial sector working for leading banks. Now he is delighted to be able to combine his love of yoga with his career in his management role at DHY. From his very first class Afsor felt incredible and really relaxed after the session. His goal is to see more and more people getting involved with DHY and to enjoy a healthier lifestyle.
Carolyn is truly a dedicated student of DHY and has been practicing at least five times a week ever since whe first joined in 2002. She started originally because of an injury that had stopped her from jogging and soon found help in healing her foot. But that was only the beginning as DHY brought her many more benefits including feeling calm and energised. From that day first day, DHY has become a huge part of Carolyn’s life. Carolyn has worked at the weekends on the reception desk at DHY for many years and really enjoys being part of the team. She has always been interested in healthy living and health promotion and since leaving school has had a full career in nursing and midwifery. Today with her work at reception she loves seeing the transformation in students as they progress from their own very first DHY class and come to love this yoga as much as she does.
Amira is the newest member of our reception team, she has come to us from a Banking career and was looking for a fresh start. Amira first came to DHY as a student back in 2015 with no yoga experience, as a beginner she found the demonstrations easy to follow and that coming a few times a week really helped her relax after a long day at work.
Amira then took some time out from practicing to start a family, since then she has found it difficult to find time for herself, but since joining our team has found her love for yoga again. Amira is looking forward to advancing her yoga skills and flexibility, while also meeting and getting to know all of our members.
Angela has been dedicated to Dynamic Hot Yoga with constant practice for more than twelve years, and has worked at the studio for nearly eight years. Everyone who comes to the studio instantly recognizes the central role that she plays. With her wonderful personality she makes everyone feel so welcome and nurtured. Angela’s original career was as a professional dancer, with television appearances on her CV. Moving on from dance and relocating from London she soon discovered DHY as the perfect way to maintain her dancer’s physique. She found that regular practice of DHY has maintained her flexibility, concentration and has enhanced her undoubted zest for life. Angela makes regular practice the essential core of her training regime, that includes Zumba, Tribe, circuit-training and her regular runs along the seafront. Yet for Angela, perhaps the best part of the job is the great membership and the many people she has come to know and love.
